ABOUT THE ARTWORK
It took about 20 hours to complete this. For the most part, the drawing was completed with a number 2 pencil. Joe Williams was an American jazz singer. He sang with big bands such as the Count Basie Orchestra and the Lionel Hampton Orchestra and with his combos. He sang in two films with the Basie orchestra and sometimes worked as an actor. The board used to make this drawing is called CRESCENT. It's a high-quality material perfect for this application. Fixative spray was used to preserve the drawing and make it smudge-proof.
