ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is when I start to push the inspiration and abstraction of my fiance. She inspires the work, but its more of taking her characteristics and drawing them out. When she smile it warms my heart and makes the day better. Each time I see this work of art it just makes me the happiest. I want the viewer to get the sense of joy and happiness that I put into each stock of the pen. Pen is unforgiving, but with that you get meaningfulness. Each mark has a purpose and a place in the artwork.

I was born in San Diego, California to a military family. Quickly we moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia where I lived most of my life until we moved to Spain for a few years. Now I am back at living in Virginia Beach. Right now I go to college in Illinois, so I travel between both states during the year. Art has been a passion and a way to express myself throughout my life. My main focus is in ink pens of different kinds, graphite pencils, acrylic and oil paint. The main topic in my art is about how someone is percived or what can I cause someone to appear as. I am studying studio art with a focus in painting.
