About The Artwork
Lighthouses are built to see people through storms. They are symbols of hope and security providing guidance for safe passage to sailors. But I wanted my viewers to see not just stone and bricks, waves and lightning. I wanted them to see a deeper meaning of lighthouses. I wanted them to see strength and resilience against the raging ocean storm. I wanted them to feel that they can stand strong against various adversities. That they can be lighthouses in someone's storm. That they can shine light to the darkness. That is what I was feeling drawing this piece of art. I believe my black pencil expressed it beautifully on the white paper.
