ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I was wanting more practice with faces, so I picked a photograph of Loretta Young to reference while I drew her. Unlike my Raquel Torres portrait, I never worked on this image digitally, after scanning it into my computer. Those who like classic movie stars might enjoy this. I loved the challenge of the angle of her face and the lighting. I enjoy drawing more than I enjoy painting, so drawing is my first go-to.
