About The Artwork
An adaptation of an ancient Chinese Seal Script character for love. The form of the character is populated with miniature figures, each performing actions typically associated with love. This piece was composed whilst working in China as a part of a seal script triptych comprising of the concepts of war, love and piety. On the macro level this image is appears to represent a wandering figure. The eyes and nose are encapsulated in a square frame central to the image. The figures arms reach out in longing.
