Lucy in the sky with diamonds. Two weeks have passed since the dizzying success, when the entire cultural beau monde of the city finally found out who He was. That this is not just a man with a strangely shaped shaved head, worn shoes and flowered shirts. Not just an eccentric person muttering something under his breath, but he is a Poet, Writer, Dancer and Artist. And here again, as if nothing had happened, you are lying in the classroom, on the floor under the spotlight, portraying someone. Although the posture is not difficult, the desire to emerge from the body and fly into your inner reality is much stronger. A reality where Eternal love exists, where diamonds are falling like stars in the August sky, where cupids start their playful games. The process of creating the work begins with drawing in class with other artists from live model. Later in my studio, I finish drawing the details that help to reveal the image of model itself and tell the viewer a fictional story that I saw in the process of drawing. This time I use details in the Doodle style and echoes of old prints bringing a touch of frivolity and light irony into my refined world of dreams and nostalgia for a lost paradise. The light, faded range of colours creates a mood of melancholy and light timeless sadness.

For the past few years, I have been concentrating on the theme of animate and inanimate nature. Starting with the theme of roots and delving into the beauty and variety of small details of flowering meadows. In the context of nature, I include lonely images of people as an integral part of the living world. In depicting human beings, for me, it is not only their physical beauty that is important, but also the transmission of their momentary mood, psychological well-being. Sometimes in my drawings I allow myself to be ironic about myself and what I find funny or remarkable in other people. But at the same time, I consciously avoid depressive and aggressive images, because it contradicts my inner ethic not to multiply the violence in the world. I would like to classify my work as Magical Realism, but I think my work reflects more of a psychological Existentialism, looking for its embodiment in natural motifs. 1995-1999 studies at Vilnius Academy of Arts and in 1999.
