She was born on May 30th, 1962 in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in a small town called Kozarac. She doesn’t have formal education in art. Life took her in different direction when it comes to education – Economy. From early days she started to have interest in art. First drawings she made were inspired with stars, flowers and trees. Ornaments have always interested her as artistic elements. First discovery in that regard she made when she was 9 years old, during math class in elementary school. Later, as an adult person she still has her passion in ornaments. That passion is present for very long time, it gives her energy and inspiration for her drawings. For she, it is a way to find herself in “chaos” of everyday life – daily work, meetings, deadlines and so on. Harmony and diversity of shapes are always present in her artwork. Also, rich in colors, decorative characteristics in combination with all present symmetry is what describes her as an artist. Mirjanas artwork is her way to see world, where she finds her happiness.
