ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This artwork belongs to the series drawn while flying on regular flights to and from Saigon. To reduce my fear of flying and occupy my brain with a task I was taking several images and blending them into one drawing. This artwork came to life with the inspiration of a photo of a gay man in 1930s and some outfits I saw on Met Gala.

My journey as an artist started in Central Vietnam in a little town Hoi An, famous for its old wooden buildings, lanterns, rice paper drying in the sun and street vendors strolling slowly through the twisted alleys, offering rice and ban beo. Vietnam gave me an endless inspiration for creating and many of my artworks are dedicated to this country and culture.
