ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The "Millennium Girl" series of paintings are the prosperous fragments in the film photos of the female stars of the beautiful years in Hong Kong in the 1980s and 1990s, or are they fashionable CD covers of female singers in the 1990s? Maybe it's a model for a fashion magazine produced in 2000? Whether it's Japanese OL, hot girls, Lolita subculture, or French haute couture handmade fashion show, all are like a juicer, mixed. Being absorbed by me, providing nourishment, becoming one so they are an ideal shape, seemingly fragile, but strong and repeating constantly, in my mind. Before I came up with the name of the "Millennium Girl", the first I thought of was “SailorMoon or Xiao Jie Jie?" >. SailorMoon refers to the Japanese cartoon anime which played in the 1990s. I still remember that when I was studying in kindergarten, I was deeply fascinated. I have keep using the pencil to draw the copy of Princess Serenity in Sailor Moon anime. I think this is most beautiful one. It also deeply influenced the development of my artistic painting style. “Xiao Jie Jie” means honey sister , some people say it is a popular online term. “Xiao Jie Jie”, I saw these three words around 2020. There are fashion brands printed on t shirt , and in some short films, some people say the word, Miss, Lady, both I've heard , I've been called in Cantonese, I've been ridiculed, and “Xiao Jie Jie”, I've seen it, I've heard it spoken in Mandarin, and I wonder why I need to add a word for sister? Some people say repetition, in order to increase the lovely meaning. With the passage of time, everything will change somewhat, in order to generate a purer impulse towards ideas, so I won’t go into details.
