Motion, Rhythm, Turbulence: Form - Instantiation in a Horizontal Medium Print

Whip a trail across liquid space and capture it its instantiation. Shadowplay may be of its kin; points of logical origin writhe in contrast that is not of conflict but of perspectives of the emanation of form in flow or vice versa: In flow creating form. Fly or glide, may rhythm capture the eye. I would like to say that my methods are intentional, but their origins may be incidental. In this case an incidental shadow from a stray beard hair that fell upon my table caught my eye...Surely, the backbone that could cast shadows at differing vectors may have the algorhithm of line weight field drawings cast upon it! Thus, this image is the manifestation from this event. Yes, this is my interpretation of the shadows of a beard hair (not so romantic now, really...) In the background of my thinking for this piece, and as an element of my general practice of refinement and extension of style, I had been experimenting with the idea of more minimalist works such as can be observed in ´Offset Gradient with Hollow Space Focal Paradox Meditation Set´ (Soon to be uplaoaded.). In my early work from my late teens and in many of the earlier ´Shattergration´ pieces I frequently just tried to cram in as much as I could - a test of my penwork. This was often interesting, but I felt it somewhat immature. It was a bit like if you just jam in more, then eventually the eye will just submit and you say wow, because it is difficult to process all at once. This is great, but I feel like it is a little immature. A bit like a young gun with a lead guitar. So basically, I wanted to let the linear field and line weight style become refined with less showing more. A bit like those songs where the orchestration is not technical per se, but is compelling through omission of showiness. I am not sure that I exactly achieved the result here, as there is still a reasonable amount of detail, but the detail is from the execution of the ´algorithm´ of the style of abstraction, rather than from a complicated arrangement.
