Jessica Palomo is a Texas native artist who was born in Dallas, TX. She works in drawing and sculpture to investigate uncomfortable situations. Her current work is in response to disease and the unseen relationships that they can bring. Her drawings use organic and bodily references to focus on the tension and balance of the beautiful and the ugly. Jessica received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2007 from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. She taught upper level art at First Baptist Academy located in downtown Dallas from 2007-2014. She has assisted many artists including sculptor John Collier for 6 years making large molds and positives. Jessica attended the Palazzo Rinaldi Residency in 2011, had a solo exhibition in Noepoli, Italy, and has exhibited across the United States. Jessica Palomo is currently pursuing her Masters in Fine Art at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona where she also teaches foundational art.
