ABOUT THE ARTWORK

The work is inspired by fate. When you look you will see Lachesis-her arrival in your life meant for there to be no extension to it- her appearance signalled-birth. As birth was no longer inevitable the woman carried Atropos who wanted this child for herself and you must accept it. Then you pray and ask for answers but there are none. You are desperate for this child but it is not to be you must accept your fate and you feel fucked by life and all it sends you. You cry. Religion helps as it is contiguous with your misery. Mary lost her son. A longer and more tortuous death, a longer and more definitive life. With the comparisons you feel compassion and understanding for yourself as no one else gives a shit. Then you arrive at yourself now in the now and life has kicked, fought, battled, tore, ripped, entropized the cadre of emotions that swirl around inside your head. Boom. You’re glad you have felt. You have arrived like a messanger changed that as mess and anger seem good compatriots. But I’m neither of those as fate has opened the door to another penumbra. So here is that time 2019. Did you think you’d get here? No! Absolutely not! But there she is standing looking back-flesh-bone-emotions-filth-thought-love-disgust-disintegrating- visions-mind-soul-killer-flumuxed-lover-imaginart-fantasy-sex-phantasmogoric-blood-heart-dissolve. Nature has now given up and given in to the body. The last stretch. The winter snow covered with the black detritus of passed congeries heaped on the ledge waiting to collapse. As transformation is a long slow brew-bacteria evolve-blood slows-breath soars and like a siren you feel the wraith of the Skylark in your breast-all is good. Why did you choose the medium, subject matter, style? The medium is tangible like fate-the subject matter and Greek myths and fates have always held an allure-style is free if there is such a thing in style. But this freedom is different it is open. It is ending. It is gone. It is waiting for you.
