Extinct bird. This is Oʻahu ʻōʻō, the extinct genus of the ʻōʻōs. The reasons for its extinction were (as typical for members of the Mohoidae) probably avian diseases caused by introduced mosquitos, habitat destruction by overgrazing from livestock and deforestation.
