This highly detailed geometric artwork was drawn during the first lockdown in Kyiv, Ukraine in 2020 and is a half memory, half feverish dream of the warm spring days on the beaches of the Black Sea. The drawing is made with a black liner and is lightly hued with blue pastel. "Salty droplets on my eyelashes are breaking the image of reality into hundreds of pieces, drawing an intricate kaleidoscope right before my eyes. Each fragment is shimmering in the sunrays like a precious jewel, creating an ephemeral mandala of a transient moment. The one to be cherished and the one to be destroyed with a blink of an eye."

Ukraine
Hello, dear art-lover! My name is Maria and I am a Ukrainian visual artist currently travelling South America. In my detailed colorful drawings I explore mystical, mythological and magical themes, paying a lot of attention to symbolism, meaning and intentional creation. For the past 7 years I've been working as a tattoo designer, thoughtfully creating meaningful tattoos for my clients. And though a piece of my heart will always belong to the world of tattoo, I feel like it's time for me to focus on my own personal art and incorporate all that knowledge of symbolism I've picked up in my former career to my new art. I've created Homo Bohemian as a project where I get to explore the mystical side of art, its magical powers and my own creative witchy expression.
