One Man's Viewpoint Print

Sitting in a café full of writers and artists you will see a lot of odd, not to say peculiar, contortions of the human figure. Unselfconscious thought twists the body into a range of strange positions: arm over head, arm twisted into a question mark, head propped up on fist or one finger, one arm looped over other shoulder like a serape, legs and feet every which way. I suspect many or most of these positions were invented by live models bored with sitting like accountants, especially nude. The only thing missing from this pose is the obligatory cigarette in the hand. I am pretty sure models like actors in films are paid by tobacco companies to add cigarettes to their poses. "Nude with Cigarette" is what's remembered and the prop distracts the viewer from the fact the left nipple is larger and not level with the right.
