My artistic practice oscillates between two distinct yet interconnected realms: delicate, metaphorical drawings and chaotic, expressionist paintings. As an Associate Professor in the Department of Painting, my work is rooted in a deep exploration of the "line" as a temporal act and a carrier of silent narratives. In my drawing series, hybrid forms and timeless, myth-like atmospheres explore the fragile intersections of memory and the body, where the human figure serves as a surface for the subconscious to become visible. Contrastingly, my paintings delve into the state of complex formations and raw dynamism. Inspired by the inherent chaos of the universe and the psychological tension of the human condition, these works employ bold, expressionist brushstrokes and rich, textured layers. Here, the figure often dissolves into atmospheric deconstruction, inviting the viewer to an intuitive and sensory encounter. Based in Turkey, my process remains a constant quest for truth through the deconstruction of plastic elements and the exploration of collective memory.
