"To witness nature is to witness balance. My art seeks to echo that harmony." Artist | Creative Technologist Alumni of Leeds Arts University, Katherine Pieniazek creates in response to the fleeting moments of nature. Her work distills sensations—light, temperature, sound—into controlled, harmonious color palettes. Grounded in oil pastels, each piece seeks to evoke stillness, capturing the subtle rhythms of the natural world. Through synesthesia, she listens to color, letting hues shape the atmosphere of each composition. Her process is quiet, allowing the work to speak. Sketches evolve into larger pieces, maintaining simplicity while inviting contemplation. Exploring both analog and digital mediums, Pieniazek’s work is a quiet invitation—to pause, to witness, to cherish the beauty that surrounds us. As a Creative Technologist, she also experiments with XR, creating functional design that complements her fine art. Her work, however, always returns to nature, guiding viewers toward reflection and preservation.
