Mollie Morrissette is an illustrator, writer, and advocate for pet food safety. After many years in advertising, including work as a fashion illustrator, art director, graphic designer, and jewelry designer, she turned her focus to animal advocacy and the complex issues surrounding pet food safety and animal feed regulation.
She is the founder of Pet Food Safety News, an independent, reader-supported publication focused on the safety, regulation, and transparency of commercial pet food. Her work goes beyond consumer awareness and reporting. It is grounded in a deep working knowledge of the laws, policies, and regulatory systems that govern pet food and animal feed, with the goal of helping bring about meaningful change for pets and the people who care for them.
Her artwork carries forward the visual style of her earlier career, now often incorporating pets and animals. Her art is offered in support of that work. One hundred percent of proceeds from art sales help fund Pet Food Safety News and her ongoing independent advocacy for pets, animal welfare, and safer standards for the ingredients used in pet food.
