ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This sketch is a tribute to the tigers at Ranthambore who seem to have replaced the glorious kings of the past living in the fort. Today, they seem to recreate royal scenes of yore with grace & majesty. This sketch recreates a mating ritual being performed by the beautiful Padam Lake with the fort in the background. The sketch is juxtaposition of images shot there & stitched together to create a narrative. Ink on aged cartridge paper is comfortable medium for me to depict wildlife. This sketch is intended to be framed & used as interior decorative element to grace walls of guest or living rooms. It can be an interesting topic of discussion on India, her wildlife & may even convince a few to visit India.
