Sandeep Kumar Mishra is an outsider artist, a freelancer writer and lecturer in English with Masters in English Literature and Political Science. Born in 1974, Sandeep hails from Rajasthan, the land of kings. He runs an academy called “Kishlaya Outsider Art Academy” in his home town to train the novice art students. His first article was published in 1994 when he was 20 years old. He has 3 books to his credit- 1-Pearls (2002)2-How to be (2016) 3-Feel My Heart (2016) His first art exhibition was in National Club Art gallery, Sujangarh, Rajasthan, India, January 1-January 3, 1994. His latest art exhibition is by Visart, Shelter Group Bright view, September 7 – September 18, 2016,Concourse Gallery, Rockville, MD,USA. His works are artistic manifestation of his actual self and shows the heart for nature and its beautiful creations including human especially woman. Watercolor landscapes on paper forms the core subject of Sandeep Kumar Mishra paintings. With the simplicity of medium, he uses base colors with a classical technique; his paintings are broad vistas of color and light that interpret the language of nature. The imagery is the quest of the artist for a spiritual place in the unsettling details of modern life. He relies on the logical expression through dreams, memory and a self-expression. He shows the need to go back to nature. This year his work has published in New England Review, Blue Mountain Review, International Times, Literary Yard, Ripen the Page, Poetry Nook, Forever Journal, Foliate Oak Literary Magazine, Rashtradoot etc. Honors and Exhibitions- 1.
