ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Remembrance Ethereal in its nature and intriguing, Fi re creates snapshots of our memories making them serene and beautiful. She introduces you to a world of moonbeams and light, reflecting from the smallest of things. Using ink and bleach she slowly creates layers of free flowing washes entering quietly into a place from the past, adding detail with more delicacy. This painting invites you step into a different world , half a step away. A medieval church window from our childhood, a place we visited many times. In fact the church is not derelict but a beautiful example of pre reformation art and architecture. Fi has chosen to paint our experience, eerie, moonlit, the outside and the in. Fi is one of several of our ‘inner family’, beckynewellart. Living with Dissociative Identity Disorder as a result of extreme childhood trauma, several personalities live within one body, each finding talents of their own. Jack, Fi, Elby and sometimes Tom are creative. Fi is notable within the group for her black and white, ink and bleach work that reflects memories, illustrates the family interests and makes beautiful things that otherwise can be missed.
