This piece addresses the complexity of avoiding external influence. The elements that make up this piece are two human figures looking at opposite directions in a shell. The positioning of the figures is suggestive that there are two opposing elements, both engulfed by a shell that resembles the human pelvis. This resemblance indicates that the shell is hard and impenetrable like the human pelvis. The elements inside take its course without any external interference. Protected from the outside forces, and simultaneously trapped in the mundane. For this reason the elements are illustrated in graphite and charcoal, on the other hand, the background is painted using yellow ochre oil colour to depict the earthiness of external influence.
