Valentina Ceci was born on 26th of September 1985 in Milan where she grew and completed her education at the Arts Academy "Accademia delle Belle Arti of Brera". After an initial period as set designer and illustrator, from 2012 she started the creative itinerary with painting and art creations by taking part to personal and collective exhibitions not only in Italy but also abroad.
In her portraits the naturalist component is boosted by the choice close to photography. The portraits are inclined to reach a destination that is not visible: "the soul and essence, the spiritual and eternal trait of a human being". Despite the realistic technique, the drawing is sometimes fragmented and leaving the observe the possibility to see some parts portraying canvas or paper. The drawing has not only simplify replicate the facial features, but a deeper synthesis of memories, emotions and feelings expressed by direct strike of the drawing lines.
