As a South African, I am privileged to have the African bush on my doorstep. There is nothing that replenishes the soul more than a visit to a game park, to experience the sounds, smells and richness that the bushveld has to offer. In my wildlife paintings I want to capture the splendour of these majestic, powerful, but vulnerable animals. May we never forget them. As a late starter as an artist, painting is still a hobby. I feel such a great sense of satisfaction to be able to be creative and enjoy the calming effect when I put brush to canvas. I am residing in Cape Town, South Africa, with my wife and beautiful daughter. We cannot wait for our next trip to the Kruger Park.
