The Resting Carpet Print

Like all of us, the artist has grown up hearing stories of enchanted lands where all things are possible, with magical people and mystical objects. One such object is Allahdin's carpet. It's strange how life keeps hitting us over and over again and as we grow up, we start losing our most essential qualities in pursuit of fitting in and taken seriously, we tend to build walls of protection but we rarely realize that these walls are also the walls of imprisonment. Through her work, she tries to create a human experience which makes her have a closer look at her instincts. How she reacts to objects, situations and life in general. With this drawing, she tried to recreate the feeling of mystery that came with Allahdin's carpet. As it hangs on the back of the artist's chair, it makes her feel as if it's resting after a long life of travel, through people's imagination but the journey will never end as it is immortal.
