ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I had a spiritual awakening at the end of 1992... and in the way of many of my artworks, it was foretold in this drawing. I discovered I had abilities as a Spiritual Healer, and in 1993, I studied with an urban shaman, and very much enjoyed the inner journeys I experienced, to the beat of the drum, having the sort of visions I only used to have on LSD. Many of these visions informed my art. I found it very creative, and a couple of years later I taught classes and workshops, using shamanic journeying techniques as a method of creative visualisation which helped students to paint very interesting paintings.
