ABOUT THE ARTWORK
"The Struggle" is a work which conceptualizes the ideas around nature struggling against technology and the progressive advancements of technology. The work also questions the capitalist system which works to ensure these advancements occur, even though they are at to a great extent futile to the natural world. "The struggle" uses geometric forms as a means of portraying these ideas. The work uses the forms of fish scales to represent natural life and interconnected dots and straight lines to represent technology. In the composition technology surrounds natural life and almost seems to intrude on natural life's space, almost pushing against it.
