The World Tree Print

Actually, I've just realised I drew this in 1992. I was in Kathmandu, Nepal at the time, and was sick as a dog... seriously sick. I had a horrible time of it, sat on the toilet for days on end and... well, you can imagine! I was ill, feverish and hallucinating. I remember thinking that God wanted me dead and all sorts. Fortunately, there is a strong Tibetan community in Nepal and they have excellent doctors. But their medicine tasted awful, and I lived on a diet of rice and plain veg. That was all I was allowed. I remember watching a table of German tourists getting drunk on alcohol that was forbidden me, and eating great steaming platters of meat, which I had forbidden myself anyway... and hating them with a venom. I wrote thee very bad poems about them at the time.
