ABOUT THE ARTWORK

I was inspired of an ink drawing of two Japanese Samurai. Detrails of their armors and clothes really hits me. Like musik with only 12 notes I reduced myself to a few shapes and paint it over and over again. I'm interested in paleontology and japanese art for years. All my friends turned it, invert it, and had different imaginations. "It's an shell, no upsidedown it's a dinosaur, on the left it's a mask". So I inspired their imagination. It was a great fun.

This year (2021) I do a new experimental series for which I experimented with plumb lines of different weights on rubber cords and calligraphy pens. The background is my preoccupation with astronomy. The drawings deal with the fragmentation of planets after an impact and with the forces of attraction between bodies of different weights, with the positions, movements and properties of objects in the universe. Hope you like it.
