ABOUT THE ARTWORK

SHIPPING AND RETURNS

I love planets and outer space. This was a rendering of the surface of the Saturnine moon Titan. It reminds me of vinyl album covers from progressive rock albums of the 70s. I just tell others that it is the cover for the band 'Titan' and their second album from 1972...hehe From the original done ...

Artist's Statement - What is it all about? There is a 'Moment' in time - a snapshot - in which we are not conscious of being apart from the flow of life here on earth. As animals seem to us, we do the same; we go about our lives, integrated, our heads down; we are lost inside this human condition. This 'Moment' is when we shift over the threshold of that unconsciousness, that integration, from the human mindscape, and notice the world again. The Moment and its inherent themes are: -Recognition of juxtaposition -Perceptibility of spacetime -And, finally, peace This Moment is what I capture through my art. By drawing, illustrating, and painting the seemingly mundane, rendering that which others caught up in the 'daily grind' cannot see, I can tattoo my brain with every Moment that comes to me. This is what it is all about. I invite you to come with me on the journey and know The Moment as I have come to know it. S. I. Mette
