'Tracks' is a six-part album study of glimpsed architecture. It is a study of the time passing and the time, which we pass on train journeys. I am particularly interested in a sense of movement and the relationship between that which does and does not alter. I love trains, and tracks, and the fact that we are somehow trapped and obliged to contemplate the landscapes go by. On my journeys from Brighton and the seaside to London, I often do just that. Sit, and draw, and marvel at how we glimpse memories, places, which we then carry with us. They are brief and often beautiful, sometimes unmistakable, sometimes ordinarily just an 'everywhere'. As a artist with a background in architecture, I am used to drawing on my journeys and then work at my studio from the sketches and studies on my sketchbooks.

United Kingdom
... is a Scottish - Chilean artist and interdisciplinary designer living and working in Sussex, often outdoors in unforgiving conditions. Her training as an architect strongly influences her work and her passion for drawing. She feels the liveliness of line work helps her weave the complexity of the movement of both subject and space, capturing the distinct feel of a place. Her dedication and loyalty to her subjects is evident in each intense mark on the paper. Incorporating atmosphere, line and technical skill, her works are immediately recognisable and are now found in many private collections. Her MA in Sustainable Design opened the way to new gestural abstract work focusing on opacities, interdependence, balance and our relationship to Time and how it impacts the environment. Solange also sits on the advisory board of Forests Without Frontiers.
