ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Exhibited at the 2nd editin of the international event -FISAD- of Turin, in the center of the Pinacoteca of the Accademia Albertina. This drawing is part of a series that create a scenography I made for the Wozzeck of Alban Berg. I based the work on a metaphor with the anatomy of the ear. As a hole in the head, the ear here become the fiery pit of madness, the music and the pulsing flesh that incarnate the descent of the protagonist. This is the first part of the central piece of the scenography (left panel). Here the three bones of the inner ear represent the first step of the triptych based on this negative Annunciation of Mary (in this case the Marie of the opera) and reveal Gabriel as the symbolic source of the damage in the mind of Wozzeck, a reflection on Marie cheating on him with the military-drummer. Gabriel is a mix of the three bones, the ossicles, that compose the hammer, anvil and stirrup, and here they become his only strong arm, part of his torso, the back and the deformed head deprived of the eyes, and finally his hand. It's also a play on the irony about the Annunciation of Mary itself that, originally, in Christianity as a theme was of curse absolutely misogynistic as it's trying to remove from the woman her bless and organic power while also highlight her absurd virginity. But as the history of art show, a lot of artists incarnated the Annunciation pretty backwards from abstract to the flesh, in a literal penetration of the word of God through Mary's ear. For more information about the meaning and the iter behind the artwork, in case of purchase, you can also ask me at: so we can find an agreement for the addition of the booklet I made (I've to translate it from Italian) as an extra piece to know a bit more. There's a lot behind it.

I'm a poliedric and an out-of-the-box artist, I'm absolutely not a classical painter despite my titles. I see my works more like experiments, virtuosisms near to masturbations and I love doing them as well as doing research and connections. I have a particular inclination and fascinations for organic-figurative imaginary, naked from artificial objects, bare wickedness of the beauty of life and her mechanisms. My world is made of flesh, especially of course the one that endlessly try to imitate the female body like the one of my real muse..And as every man knows the madness of this chasing desire rely in the impossibility to exceed the perfection of a woman. My interests are very spreaded as are my ways to doing art (except for the constant of drawing) and they go from human anatomy, theology, medicine, symbolism, horror to erotic. I love to fall in a perpetual dance of the uncanny (nor beauty of sex or death, but always in the instability in the middle) so I love artist like Hans Bellmer, Artaud and Bataille and the hands that overcame the boundaries of immagination like the ones of Hieronymus Bosch and Gordon Matta-Clark, but I hate to take references as "insiprations". Every God has to fall. I love the art that have the spine to shine from its own light, not reflected light, and for the same reason I love to make fun of the clean forks of this superficial but anal society as well as art itself when is nothing more than attitude and fake, coward, "arrogance". We have to be sincerly arrogants, we have to exasperate, to go against everything and to spouse everything at the same time in an eternal coitus.. we have to make a new step in the art and in the world because we all have now and here a special place to view the end of the humanity for what was until now. We are in the first row .. And the end it's not a terrible thing, maybe, that's just.. our air, made by the broken stars we breath, and it's our time to make the big turning of the last page, and to make it spectacular as it can get. This is the climax of history, and we are her last colored blossoms, our works are the flowers of the apocalypse.
