ABOUT THE ARTWORK
I had pictures of these women in my photo collection for years, from my time overseas. I wanted to create an image of sustainability and strife, but in an abstract expressionist way. Tropic of Cancer is a physical location and a state of mind. I use my imagination and my creative vocabulary to create the image. Everything is special and has its own magic in my eyes and my mind, capturing an unforgettable precious moment of life, created by pencil and color.
