ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The drawing is the representation of a woman who has to endure a daily war without the necessary weapons to face it, and hopes to get out alive. It is inspired by the theme of domestic violence and cites a famous photo of the Vietnam War. This paintings's serie is inspired by advertising digital graphic, since the artist is also an advertising art director. For this reason the work is conceived as a photoshop collage, but entirely drawn by hand: the colored elements are painted with watercolor on cotton paper on the background, the woman is drawn with graphite in a brighter paper.
