ABOUT THE ARTWORK
When people talk shit Pen and ink on paper 36 X 24 inches -Artist's interpretation- The inspiration for this piece came to me when I was walking my dog. As he was defecating on the grass, our eyes met, he and I shared a very uncomfortable moment. The feeling of being out in the open, vulnerable and meeting eyes with someone in the process of this personal moment. I related it to the times in our lives when we are conversing with people and we know they are either lying, bluffing or just giving us the shit. For sake for courtesy or manners you grit your teeth, nod our heads and go through the conversation. This image is the embodiment of how one feels when people talk shit. From the Series, 'Satya'
