ABOUT THE ARTWORK

“Stereoscopic Intuition” 2014: this whimsical and striking audio installation was created in collaboration with Ukrainian designer Vlad Simkin. This is a portrait of a magical creature that came from wonderful dreams and associations. The nature of this being is music. This clearly emphasizes the character's mouth, which is created from a real children's metal vibraphone. The work is equipped with a device that plays original music files in mp3 format. The soundtrack of the Ukrainian experimental group Foa Hoka sounds from small speakers... The speakers are embedded in a lightweight, durable composite that forms the basis of this installation. This work was created in mixed media, where the most incredible materials and objects are combined: a wooden eagle head, glass beads, a toy Egyptian pyramid, collages from Indian cigarette packages, iridescent plastic images, jewelry ... A separate highlight of this installation is a glass luminous eye that gently broadcasts a light-musical algorithm. Fantastic work of the 21st century, created in the legendary Midi Free studio.
