Matilda Scott-Wilson is a contemporary artist whose work explores the interplay of colour, texture, and emotion. She attended Goldsmiths College, University of London, and went on to a career with the BBC, directing and producing award-winning wildlife documentaries. Now based in Cassis, France, she works from a studio overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, where the light, landscape, and natural forms directly inspire her art. As a neurodivergent thinker, Matilda embraces unconventional ideas and innovative patterns. She often incorporates antique paper, letters, and handwritten documents into her collages, creating textured, multidimensional pieces that combine history, narrative, and abstraction. Her work reflects her appreciation of nature, cinematic sensibility, and a unique perspective on composition, producing pieces that are both meditative and dynamic. Collectors are drawn to her art for its vibrant color, layered textures, and narrative depth, making it perfect for contemporary homes, offices, or galleries. She also runs mindful creative workshops from her studio in Cassis, France.
