I was inspired by the times when I took my son on some of my astrophotography field trips while he was growing up. I originally posted it on August 11th for National Son and Daughter Day. There is a holiday out there for everyone, it seems. We all could use a little holiday cheer now and then. I thought it would make an excellent book cover when I finished it. I wondered what story it would represent. So it became a "Book Cover" of a lost tale from Unwritten Libabry of the Undervers. I'm making the covers available at Saatchi Art. I'm printing them on Hahnemühle German Etching if anyone wants a signed copy. German Etching is s a traditional mold-made copperplate printing paper, complete with an inkjet coating designed especially for FineArt. When it arrives, you'll notice the paper has a curve. It will lay flat once correctly framed. I can print any size up to 16x20. Please drop me a line if you have any questions. A Father and Son, a lost tale from the Underverse. Book Synopsis: A Father and his teenage Son are the only survivors of a plane crash near Caroline Island in a Pacific Ocean storm. They wake up in a small inflatable raft on a shoal under an unfamiliar sky with only the clothes on their back and a flare gun. With only flashes of memory of the crash, they have no memory of how they arrived there or of their life before the crash. As they stare into an orange sky with three moons, they know they're not on Earth anymore. So begins the tale of Father and Son trapped in an alien world and looking for a way home. They soon discover they are in the Noctem Dentes (The Night Teeth) domain. A terrible nightmare of The Nevermore, devouring unsuspecting travelers. They find a few other lost travelers who seek the Doorwhere to Everywhere. It said that the Doorwhere could take you anywhere you wish. Perhaps their only way home, if it's real.
