ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece is inspired by the city of Lagos Nigeria. It is part of my collection titled 'Èkó ò ní bàjé' which literally translates from Yoruba to English - 'Lagos will not spoil'. Each concept from this collection ironically and literally expresses what it looks and feels like to live in Lagos, with objects, places and things that makes the city what it is - Lagos. This piece shows a local bread seller on a Lagos morning.
