During a time that I lived in La Havana, one of my passions was to photograph daily life, one day looking at photos I chose to paint this scene because I remember that when I did it, I imagined the D'Lorean appearing from the future and Marty Mc.Fly wondering if I was in the right place and time...and I answered within myself..."Hey Marty, here time stopped and not because of a machine but because of politics..." Durante un tiempo que viví en La Habana, una de mís pasiones fué fotografiar la vida diaria y viendo fotos escogí pintar esta escena porque recuerdo que cuando la hice, imaginé al D´Lorean aparecer del futuro y a Marty Mc.Fly preguntandose si estaba en el lugar y tiempo correctos...y yo contesté dentro de mí ..." Hey Marty aqui el tiempo se detuvo y no por una maquina sino por la política..."
