ABOUT THE ARTWORK
At present I am finding that my work is inspired by nature, whether it be botanical or animal in nature. I enjoy taking a mundane image of my own photographs and collaging them with found images and then turning the colour up; adding effects to produce a final image I am happy with. I feel my painting, photography and graphic work feed one another. I knew I wanted to create an image of a wolf and a using 'the circle' as a motif across all platform of my work. Being a wolf, I felt The Moon was apt in regards the circle present.

I am a painter, photographer and graphic artist living and working on the North East Coast of England. My passions and the things that inspire my work; are my local coastline as we have wonderful beaches and cliffs; which host much wildlife from dolphins to cormorants and gulls. Like many, I am concerned about Climate Change and the natural world and this feeds some of the topics of my work. In regards style, I love high colour and pattern and enjoy solving the problem of marrying all my stylistic loves in single images. I have found that as I am developing as an artist both my painting and photography are becoming more similar in approach.
