This picture depicts Buddha Samantabhadra, which can be translated as "Noble in everything" and "Always Beautiful". His body is dark blue, this color symbolizes the infinity of the space of the nature of the mind. He is sitting in the vast expanse of space, and encircled by an aura of rainbow light. He is completely naked, meaning unstained by any trace of concept. Samantabhadra is depicted in union with his female energy. Their union is the unity of everything in non-duality, it is also a symbol of the inseparable unity of bliss and emptiness, wisdom and method. As a religious scholar, I became very interested in this icon when I saw it on the wall of a Buddhist temple (I think it was in Tibet). Of course, I sketched her into a hiking sketchbook, which I always take with me when I travel... After returning home, I wrote this artwork, precisely because I feel Buddhism and find its religious symbolism very inspiring. The painting is covered with acrylic-styrene art varnish, resistant to fading and easy to clean. Shipped carefully packed in a box with all necessary paperwork.
