Clock Wise Print

Born in 1964 in the suburbs of Paris, France, I grew up surrounded by the architectural richness of Parisian monuments and gardens, which inspired me from an early age, as did my many travels in the English countryside and London. I studied English literature and later architecture, inspired by the work of architect Shigeru Ban and sculptor Richard Long. After graduating, I continued my career working in cinema and theatre, then as a floral and interior designer, cementing my interest in the fusion of urban landscapes and natural forms. In 2018, I created a hand-printed brand on linen, AVA Paris. At the end of 2022, I focus more and more on working with paper and start exploring bas-reliefs where natural forms and urban landscapes merge. Over the years, my works has come to focus on interior design and wall bas-reliefs. My inspiration comes mainly from the natural world, referring to architectural or botanical forms. Nature is full of endless patterns and rhythms, spirals, waves and lines. Like nature, each piece of my work is unique. Paper has the softness and finesse I need to sculpt new forms, shaping the sheet to create organic reliefs and a three-dimensional effect. The immaculate surface of the paper is transformed into landscapes, sometimes enhanced with ink, gold or watercolour. My work is a celebration of nature itself. I strive to create works that inspire, connect and touch in an emotional way, taking the viewer on a journey through different botanical and peaceful landscapes where light plays with the senses.
