Cheryl Ann Hunter lives in the southern California desert city of Desert Hot Springs. A native to the state, Cheryl finds inspiration in the diverse people and natural wonders of the west coast of the United States. She developed her love of art and creative imagination early on, honing her skills through formal education experiences including local college classes and the Milan Art Institute. With a passion for narrative art, and magic realism, the artist prefers to tell a story in her pieces. Working in acrylic, oil and mixed media, Cheryl offers a variety of subject matter from desert landscape and wildlife to the power of women. She says, "I want to bring about emotion and deep thought, to elicit a feeling or memory that bonds to the piece."
