Hi, I am Sandra Jockus. I am a self-taught digital illustrator and multidisciplinary artist. My creative process unfolds on my iPad, where experimentation fuels my vibrant and whimsical illustrations. Deeply inspired by animals—especially my loyal companion, Trevor, a Basset Hound/Labrador mix—my art often reflects a heartfelt connection to the natural world. Having grown up in Lithuania, nurtured my creativity in Berlin, and spent nearly a decade immersed in Tokyo’s dynamic culture, my work reflects a rich tapestry of influences. I studied fashion design and fashion making at Bunka Fashion College in Tokyo, graduating in 2015, an experience that continues to shape my artistic vision. Now based in New York, I find inspiration in the sun-soaked, easygoing essence of California, which I weave into surreal, fantastical landscapes. My ideas often emerge in quiet, fleeting moments—while showering, commuting, or napping with Trevor. These glimpses of an imagined world take shape in my work, inviting viewers to step into a realm that balances the familiar and the extraordinary. Through my art, I aim to create a space where fantasy and reality meet, where every detail tells a story, and where imagination finds its truest expression.
