Some artists are easily able to explain what they are doing, why they are doing it, and how they do it. That’s not me. Pulling back for the big picture, here’s my Life Statement. I simply hope to be at peace with being alive, and to love myself. Looking back, I was always compelled to be creative; I loved drawing, during which I felt OK just being. For the rest of my life, not so much. I do love trees, though. Clouds, water, sunlight. Letting go and enjoying those things. When I’m making art I’m making my version of those things, looking for a few moments of acceptance.
