ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece was inspired by the random phrase 'levitation paul' that my teen and I somehow concocted. The original work, which has been sold, was a process piece, with joint compound (similar to plaster when dry) applied to a wooden panel, and sculpted into a unique texture while wet. After drying, I soaked acrylic pigments into an abstract composition, and responded to those marks, and the changes that happened as they dried, with graphite and more color. The work reminds me of a stormy atmosphere, my primary source of inspiration. Prints are larger than the original, and make a very bold statement on your wall!
