The work of Frédéric Durieu & Nathalie Erin surprises those who discover it and delight those who know it, as much by the diversity, the originality but above all by their unique and singular technique as well as their poetry. In fact, they have developed a method that allows them to create works of a new genre that characterize them. Their works come in the form of tables, which are like stills of a story that reacts with the camera or sound, but still in form. For this exhibition, they will present a new collection of paintings which can also be seen in an animated version thanks to augmented reality and a free application . It is because Nathalie Erin is a musician, and they are lucky to have great composers who lend them their music as good friends like Jean-Claude Vannier, Christophe Héral, Louis Martinez, that music is always present in their work. You will soon find them at Agnès b. in January 2019 and at Espace St Ravy in April, in Montpellier. Frédéric Durieu, polytechnician and artist, writes his own programs. He has used computers to make art for almost 30 years. A pioneer in this field, he has exhibited his works in major museums such as the Center Pompidou and Le Palais de Tokyo. He has also produced interactive works for Nike, IBM, created sets for the Opera, to name a few. One of his last works has just been installed at the Futuroscope in Poitiers. Nathalie Erin, artist, former conservatory student, musician and singer, has been teaching singing and vocal technique for years and has a great sensitivity for the world around her. She discovered and learned digital art with Frédéric Durieu. Today, they form a real pair and create their works together.
