TOMOKO is inspired by my Madame Butterfly series i did years ago when I was living in the Philippines. I went to the Goethe Library and saw the beautiful Edo Japense wood cut prints by Utamaro and Yoshitoshi and fell in love with them. Here is my contemporary updated version of the lovely Geishas.
