About The Artwork
This is a digitally manipulated portrait photograph of my old girlfriend, the artist, Aideen Cusack. The original was taken just outside the city walls of San Giminiano, near Florence. I had decorated Aideen's hair with cornflowers, in the spirit of "Room With A View" and Denholm Elliot's classic line "there are no jewels more becoming of a lady"

I left art school in 1991. Ever since then, I have been exploring, both internally and externally: making art and writing that reflects this process. In 2006, I gave up being a householder and became a nomad instead, spending the best part of ten years, travelling and living in Asia, mainly in Thailand and India, studying yoga, meditation, tantra and massage.
